Harvest Moon Island of happiness help !!! Mark !?

Ok so i have done everything to get Mark, i have unlocked all the main character's, unlocked all the harvest spirits (7) and have the 3 Bridges and my farmer points are over 50% ! what am i doing wrong please help ! is it because i don't have the rice paddy part but people say that doesn't matter please help I've tried and tried every thing ! =( thanks Grace
