If you have an LH surge with first morning uring, then 4 hours later, then it's over when you test again?
LH is a hormone which you always have in your urine throughout the month. Most OPK's will not detect these small amounts of LH. When you are close to ovulation, you will get a surge of LH. You only get one surge. Then the OPK will pick it up. It is detectable in your urine in varying amounts as the day progresses, depending on how much you are drinking and how much you are urinating. Watching it rise and fall throughout the day will tell you nothing and only confuse you. Now if you tested the same time every day under the same circumstances, then you will be able to get a clearer picture of when you surged.
