I was ticketed but cannot read the ticket and nothing on the ticket states the charge. Can I fight it?

I was a in Mount Pleasant partying with several of my friends at Central Michigan University for Saint Paddy's day. I'm 18 years old and at the time i was consuming alcohol underage because thats what college kids do. I had a backpack that had one beer in it as well as about one sip left in an open beer can i was carrying. I was not in anyway standing out in the crowd because there were several kids with alcohol in there hands. I walked over to my friends that were standing together talking when i noticed three police offers casually walking down the side walk. The three officers picked me out of the crowd and asked for my ID. Once they found out i was 18 they asked to search my back pack finding one unopened beer. They then unprofessionally wrote me a ticket that i could not read and asked me if i had any questions. I answered yes politely but the three officers noticed a car burning out in the road and took off leaving me with a ticket in my hand that i could not read and not fully aware of what i did. I am still unsure of what my ticket is today because the officer did not check the box on the ticket stating the charge. PLEASE HELP. I have never gotten in trouble before and my parents are both on my side and think the ticket was bullshit especially because there were several other drunk kids around me causing problems. Will this be dismissed in court?? Or am i in trouble with the law ( such as MIP)??
