Implantation or period?

i had my period march 2-7 and then had sex uring what im pretty sure was ovulation (on the 15th) along with a few other days here and there during the first 2 weeks of my cycle. due to some unexpected problems my boyfriend hasnt been in town for the past couple weeks and since we dont know when he can come back we were really hoping this was our month. on the 27th my period(?) came which is about 3 days early. on day 1 it was lighter than normal (not just a few drops though) plus it started in the middle of the day (its usually early morning). day 2 it was kinda heavier but still not normal. day 3 some spotting. day 4 barely any spotting and nothing on day 5. does it sound like a period or implantation?
