STI testing?

What you describe is nothing whatsoever like a HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus) lesion - which is a blister which eventually breaks - releasing virus infected serum. It is also extremely painful - especially the first episode. I'm not tottaly sure whether they could screen for HSV but it is unlikely. Stop worrying mate - chances are it was an infected hair follicle.
